Founded in 1982 by Managing Director and owner John Fraurud, JayPak is a 100% Australian, family owned and run business. Our team of packaging specialists, based in Malaga, Western Australia has over 100 years combined industry, design, structural and production knowledge.
JayPak provides premium quality, cost effective, creative, packaging and display services to a wide range of industry sectors throughout Australia – beverage (beer and soft drink), confectionery, cosmetics, food, frozen seafood, pharmaceutical and wine. Through our close association with Graphic Packaging International Australia Pty. Ltd (GPIA) we supply direct to GPIA’s key clients, such as Lion Nathan Limited and Coca-Cola Amatil (Aust) Pty Ltd. We also continue to service the many regionally based manufacturers and processors who form the cornerstone of our business.
We develop custom design and packaging solutions that appeal to our clients and more importantly, their target market. We work directly with manufacturers, or with their chosen advertising and design consultants to provide innovative packaging and design concepts with the production expertise that really brings ideas to life.
Our continued success is based on an uncompromising commitment to both customer service and quality. The foundation for this success is a policy of ongoing investment in not only the best production technology available, but in the people who operate it. These key factors allow us to provide our customers with tailor-made solutions by customising our manufacturing processes to meet the demands of both small and large production runs.
It is our belief that what sets us apart from other print or packaging companies is that we can manage every key part of the manufacturing process in-house. This maintains close control over quality and cost, which is a valuable market advantage to both us and for our clients.
Our highly committed team of experts is always available to answer questions, and/or provide expert advice.
We are committed to achieving the best quality results possible in all aspects of our business. Our aim is to provide, as effectively and efficiently as possible, both products and services that will result in our customer’s complete satisfaction.
To meet these aims our management objectives, covering all aspects of the business, are set and continuously reviewed to drive improvements in the quality of our processes, products and services in order to achieve financial stability and efficiency.
We continue to foster close relationships with our suppliers to assist them on matters of product quality and service.
We remain committed to the continued development of our quality systems and complying with the requirements of the AS/NZS ISO 9001 Standard.
All employees, whatever their role, has a responsibility for quality.
As an accredited company we must continuously adhere to the guidelines set by the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO):
Every staff member throughout our operation strictly adheres to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Clients can be confident that their packaging is manufactured under stringent quality and procedural guidelines.
Periodic internal procedural audits are carried out to ensure that we are complying with the set standard. External validation audits of these procedures are conducted each year to monitor and verify that we continue to adhere to the set guidelines and meet the standard requirements for ISO accreditation.
As a member of the Packaging Council of Australia, JayPak offers open house tours of the business to participating primary and secondary schools and TAFE colleges. We offer students the opportunity to learn about design, production and manufacture of cardboard products and capabilities of different machinery.
Students at higher levels of education such as upper secondary school, or TAFE may be able to work with JayPak on projects that are set by their educational facility. Working with JayPak on their project will give students practical knowledge of structural design and the manufacturing processes rather than only having the experience of creative design. JayPak can assist these students in the production of samples using Computer Aided Design (CAD).
JayPak is committed to continue its focus in supporting manufacturing within Australia in a sustainable approach to how we do business. We strive to keep our costs competitive so that manufacturers will choose to produce their packaging with us, rather than taking the work offshore. We will ensure this, by continuously driving the costs out of both our and our customers manufacturing processes by innovation, design and technology.
We work closely with our clients to provide the ultimate solution for their packaging needs, acting as a Brand Ambassador for manufacturers, producers and processors. Delivering their products to the public arena in the best possible light.
We continuously look externally at technological developments and trends, offering these to our Australian customers, ensuring that they keep up with world markets.
